Will it ever end? I have four kids and I am on #2! McKinley got to meet Dr Nishihara yesterday. I guess I shouldn't tell my kids how afraid I am of him, because it made her afraid of him. She didn't want to go, but it was just fine. He was so cute with her, and he really made her comfortable. Her Strep test was negative when we left, but he said that if Carter tested positive most likely one form of it would be positive. He also told her in ways that she understood how antibiotics work. She just had a section on cells in GATE, so she really did understand. He told her to eat a lot of yogurt because the antibiotics will kill the bad and good bacteria. The yogurt will replace the good bacteria. She was all over that, so we stopped and got yogurt.
The funniest thing happened at the Doctor. We were in such a hurry to leave that I forgot the stroller. So I had Gracie in my arms (Thank heaven for Valet!!). I put her down in the room to fill out paperwork and I thought to myself "how many little sick hands have been on that chair?" When Nishihara came in of course he thought the same thing and told me now I have to wash her hands. It doesn't take a doctor to figure that out! After he left, I put Gracie up on the counter and turned on the water. She put her hands right under the water, so I pumped a little foam soap in her hand. Before I could scrub it it, she put it right in her mouth!!! She started coughing and spitting. I was laughing so hard. If Nishihara knew, I would be in big trouble!!
So, the race is on to see if we can completely be strep free by Christmas!! Please, please, please!

Good thing McKinley likes yogurt...hopefully everyone will be healthy by Christmas, so you can go to Utah and get sick all over again ;)
I've always wondered if they disinfect the exam rooms between each patient.....doubt it!
Yes, please, please, please! Ha Ha Ha
Poor Kinney! Sore throats suck!
Poor Gracie! Disinfectant soap sucks too!
I can just see Gracie's big ol cheeks full of soapy foam. So funny. And please leave the strep in Vegas. WE don't need that anymore.
And Gretta was sucking on the hand railings at the movie theater when we went to see Fred Claus. Now she has diarrhea. I wonder if there's a connection? Nah.
You might as well just put the rest of the family on antibiotics! I can't believe Gracie doesn't like the taste of soap. Cruz loves it! (Remember - Can I lick it??)
This is another sign that Gracie is Aaron's girl. One time he was visiting me at the hospital and kept playing with the hand sanatizer. At one point he put it in his mouth. He did not advise me to try it.
