What a Weekend!

Did you know that the Ryder Cup is golfing? It is something about the European golfers against the American ones, I think. Anyway, it put my Dad to sleep for a well needed nap on Saturday, Phew! He came to visit on Wednesday night. I didn't see him until Friday! He spent every second he could with the Noorda brothers, what else, Golfing. Hooray for golfing.

We took him to the seafood buffet on Friday, and it was yum-O. It is always good. We got to attend the Temple Saturday morning for my cousin Spencer's sealing. It was so nice. It was a good feeling, and the sealer gave them some great advice. We both came away from there with a great feeling.

Gracie fell in love this weekend. Do you know who with? Her Papa!!! She thinks he is the greatest! After he left on Sunday morning, she spent the rest of the day checking the house for him, "Papa, papa..." Room to room. Or she was on the phone with him. Pretend phone of course. He decided that there was one good thing about my Mom being gone, he is the top dog with the babies now!!!

We tried curlers. They didn't work so you only get a before picture because she is so cute.

Church was nice. I actually really enjoyed it. I think it is getting easier. Our High councilman, who happend to be my favorite speaker, Lamar, talked about finances and the challenges we are all facing with the economy. He told us some good things, and made us feel like we may sacrifice and struggle, but we WILL be ok. I believe him. I think as long as we are righteous and do the things we are supposed to, we won't starve. We may have to make some changes, but we will be ok.

Sunday night we had a BIG fire in the back yard. We actually still had our Christmas tree, so we burned it. It was very large in flames!! Carter also burned his clothes from Cumorah Academy. He has been waiting all summer to do it.

Yay! You live and breathe!

Hey, the Ryder Cup is very intense, it causes a sleep spell to fall over anyone who watches it.

And I love that Carter burned his clothes. So funny.

I hear Gracie and Papa are quite the buddies. Dad talked about her forever, he loves her. I miss her!

Glad you had a good weekend.
That's funny that Carter burned his clothes. And I don't know how anyone can stay awake watching golf on TV - definitely a sleep inducer.

There is so much I want to comment on, but alas, I will not.

Cool pics.

Your favorite person (other than Aaron),

Papa talked about Gracie all morning. I wish we were there to partake of the large fire. However, it would be dangerous with Eli around!
