Our Weekend

Saturday Carter had a Piano Festival at UNLV. He had to play 2 songs. The first song he played was one that he loved. He has been practicing it for a long time, and had it down so good. The other song had to be a classical piece by a dead composer. He hates this kind of music, so he struggled learning it. He practiced really hard the last week. The judges would score you with a SUPERIOR, EXCELLENT, SATISFACTORY, or NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. I couldn't video tape it, so we did a run through before we left. This is how he played minus the "Oh Crap!"

Of course he got a Superior Rating!
He played so good. You all know how much I love that he plays the piano. I think it is the best thing. When I was watching him play I just wanted to cry. I was so nervous for him, in fact I think I was more nervous than him!

I think Gracie is finally feeling better! She has been on her new Antibiotic for a few days, and I think it is working. Her lungs are sounding better too.

I had a great Mothers Day. It is such a nice day, it is a shame we only get one day a year. I didn't have to cook or clean or do any dishes. Although today I will pay for it. I think when Aaron cooks he dirties every dish in the house. I noticed only half the dishes fit in the dishwasher. It was nice to watch a movie with my family and have a little nap. I am so thankful that the Priesthood cancelled all meetings on Mother's Day! It was very nice.

In primary on Sunday they called Carter up to the front and sang his favorite primary song. I couldn't figure out why they would do that, then it dawned on me. It was his last week in primary!!! Next week is Stake Conference, and the next week is his birthday! I can't believe it! I am not old enough!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful mother's day - a little birdie told me you got a Bosch :)

I wish I had a video camera when Carter was up front in primary yesterday singing 'Once there was a snowman' - it was the funniest thing!

I had no idea that Carter played the piano. He did a great job! It sounds like you had a great Mother's Day. It is too bad that Mother's Day only comes once a year.

Carter, I am so very impressed! Way to go! I judged violin federation a couple weeks ago, and if I were one of your judges, I would have given you a Superior as well. Awesome! Keep it up!

Wow, his fingers move so fast! He looks so old, I can;t believe he is going to be 12! You are NOT old enough, because I remember when he was born!

The sad thing is, we are old enough. We just don't feel and act old enough. At least that's what I think. Remember we have been married for 13 years.

Carter, you are AWESOME!!!! Great job. Wish I could have been there but the video was great.
I can't believe Carter is turning 12. I swear he was just born last week! Congrats on leaving Primary. Kind of scary tho, huh?
Glad that Gracie is doing better. Is her rash gone? I can't wait to see all of you. I miss you. Glad you had a Happy Mothers Day. I did, too! Love you.

Carter is getting really good. Heidi said you got a Bosch for mother's day. I also got a bread machine for mother's day and mixed my first dinner with it tonight. We had calzones, very yummy. You are getting old to have a twelve year old!!
