Mean Parents

Aaron and I LOVE April fools day. When our kids were little we used to change them around while they were sleeping so when they woke up on April fools day, they were in different beds. The last few years they have gotten to big for that, so we had to really get creative. Last night we decided to give them red and gold streaks in their hair. We saran wrapped their toilets, but it didn't work, they noticed. But the best thing we did was put bras on our girls. We were laughing so hard that we had to leave the room and take a break. Then we would try again and laugh laugh laugh. They looked so funny! When I went to wake them up this morning they had both taken them off. McKinley woke up at 3:00 and told Livi to take hers off too. It was funny while it lasted. They also got a surprise when the poured out their cereal for breakfast. We had changed the inside bags to all the cereal. Olivia thought she was getting Cookie Crisp, and it was really Cocoa Pebbles! I love April Fools!!

Lexi and Ashlee changed my cereal on me this morning too- I am not creative at April Fools, so it took me a while to figure out what to do back to them. I am boring, but I changed Lexi's comforter to Ashlee's bed and Ashlee's to Lexi's- I also took all the picture's hanging on the walls and switched them into the other's room. Boring, but it's as good as I get! You guys are great at this every year!!

Wow, I just pretended to run out of gas. Nothing fancy like you. Although, it did scare the crap out of Mags, which is really no surprise.

That is hilarious! Switching the beds is such a good idea :) I'm still trying to come up with something... Not nearly as fun of a mom as you! Your kids are so blessed to have you :)

This is one holiday I have never really gotten into with my kids.

There is still time it is only afternoon. Hmmm. I will have to put thought into it.

My brain is fried...I can't do anything this year. It'll have to wait till next year. I can totally see Aaron getting into it though.

That's funny - I can picture you and Aaron in the dark trying to put bras on the girls. No bra for Carter though? Now that would have been funny :)
