I know I have been gone a while. Sorry about that. I was trying to pull off a surprise trip to Disneyland. Every second my kids were at school was the only time I had to get ready. No time for blogging.
Thursday morning we woke our kids up telling them they were getting ready for school, but really they were getting ready for a vacation. Carter and Olivia were totally oblivious. McKinley had figured it out the night before when she was snooping in my room and found the grocery sack and a packed suitcase. When they were ready we pulled them together and asked "Should we go to Disneyland instead of school?" You know what their response was. They were so excited. I had packed their backpacks (Thanks Nunn!) and put them back in their closets, so they grabbed them and we were off! First stop, Jungle ride.
Gracie wasn't to sure about it. She was a good sport, and put up with all of us dragging her wherever we went. I think our favorite ride was Pirate's. We rode it the most. Gracie even started to laugh the last time we rode it. We ate lots of Churros and frozen banana's. We covered every ride in Disneyland except Splash Mountain and the Matterhorn. The park was open until 11:00 so we used up every last minute of it. When we got to our hotel our feet hurt, and we zonked out. It was such a fun day. It was so warm all day, and we wished we had a jacket when it got dark. The park was busy, apparently all Utah County people had spring break. We could spot those Provo people a mile away, it was nice to see so many families.

I am so jealous! It looks like you guys had such a great time!! Did you guys make it to Knotts Berry Farm? I'm expecting a bag from Aaron any day....
Oh, how fun. I wish we could have gone together. We have the same picture of our kids in front of Mickey with tinkerbell. My kids are already planning the next trip, you will have to come with us.
I'm so glad you're back! It seems like when you blog, I "talk" to you, so when you're gone, I feel like I haven't talked to you forever! Looks like you had a fun trip. Gracie is getting so big. That pic of her and Aaron is awesome. Total mini me. I say, next time, DisneyWorld! We'll meet here.
What a fun surprise! I'm sure your kids loved it! We have been contemplating a Disney trip for awhile, but it's gonna have to wait until after the baby. Can you believe I have only been there once and I was in 4th grade? My brother and his family who live in Orem also went to Disneyland last week too.
Nice hat, Carter. You look like you really enjoyed wearing it!! Loved the pictures. Wish we could have gone, too. I love all you guys. And Gracie is getting big. Would you please stop that!!!! Glad you had a great time!!
We can spot the Salt Lake people when we go. They're the ones with Mormon written all over (but they have a cigarette in hand). JUST KIDDING, JILL!!!!!!!!! Looks like a fun time. --Andrew
Disneyland is the best!!! I'm so happy that it is not that long of a drive! Gracie is so cute. It looks like you all had a blast! So fun for the kids that it was a surprise. What great parents they have;)
What a fun surprise....sounds like you had a wonderful time - going with cousins makes it more fun too. Love the picture of Carter with Mickey ears. Can't wait to see more.

That looked So fun! I am so jealous of your proximity to Disneyland. That is one thing that made me sad when we moved. I really don't know when we will make it back all the way down there. How fun for your kids though. I bet they were SO surprised!

Hey thanks for putting the Dumbo picture on here!! We had alot of fun with you guys but I do have to say it is so nice to be home in my own bed and the kids gone to their Dads!!!
You guys are such cool parents. What a great idea to totally surprise your kids. I 'll have to remember that when my kids are actually old enough to care!
We are trying to plan a trip in July and i think we'll copy you and keep it a surprise!
