Just a thought

I've been thinking lately just how negative the world has become. Maybe its the recession, or maybe it's just me. I was having some PTSO issues, some who think that any reason to stir the pot is ok. Then there is always the typical family member who can't say anything nice. But the thing I'm kinda bugged about was this.

I was actually watching that conversation and didn't notice a thing until the announcers apologized for the language. Should they have to? For heavens sake, he had just won an Olympic Gold medal! I think a couple swear words should be allowed. I feel like it's not that he won the medal now, its the swear words.

My goal for the day, look for the good. It can't be that hard to find good in every situation. As I typed that I thought of all the hard things to find positive in. Maybe this will be harder than I thought.

I'm confused. Are the swear words positive or negative? --Andrew (I'm baaaaaaaaaack!)

We saw the same thing, and I (of course) didn't even think twice about the language until Charlie pointed it out. Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, first of all, they're boarders. Not the most gentile creatures by nature. Second of all, he just won a FREAKING GOLD MEDAL! I be F*(^&^ swearing too!

I think they just needed something to take up air time, and to apologize profusely so the FCC doesn't come down on them.

Love ya!

I didn't even catch the whole boarder thing...

But I do agree things/people seem so negative lately. I have a friend who always complains about how mundane her life is, her kids, motherhood, her husband etc. I told her I could take all the hard stuff, because I was just blessed to be here and have my whole family healthy and with me. Your right...we can find something positive in everything. The glass is half full, not half empty.

Good thought. WE should all try to do this more.

No more negativity. It's no good. Life is good. I choose to be happy and be with happy people. Why do I not always get to choose, and how come they find us? : )

YES! Thank you! I thought it was ridiculous that the network brought attention to Sean White's conversation with his coach. I didn't even notice the language when I was watching. Give him a break! He just won gold. And he's a snowboarder! He's not running for governor.
