2 people get up in SLC drive to the airport, get on a plane and fly to LAX. They then rent a car and drive to Tahachapi, CA to drop one person off at Woodward Skate Camp. Then the Solo person drives back to LAX returns rental car and gets back on a plane and flies to Las Vegas. How many total miles have they gone?
I don't know, but this all makes for a long freakin day. When we got to Woodward it took a while to get registered and stuff. They told us his cabin number and we were supposed to go there, meet his councilor and then tour the camp. When we got to the cabin all the boys were there playing a game on their skate boards. I could tell he wanted to play with them. We walked outside to go tour the camp, and he hesitated a little. So, I asked him if he wanted to just stay there and I could leave? He said "OK, I'll stay here"! OK. Snif snif. I didn't even get to take a picture of him there. He did hug me when I left. I felt like the apron strings were severed a little. My heart felt funny driving away all by myself. I can't believe I just left him with a cabin full of 14, 13-16 year old boys. Uggggg! I have thought a thousand times I wonder what he is doing now! I am sure it involves something fun!
Actually it is 1250.86 miles! Wow!

I bet he is having a blast! I would never go somewhere like that by myself! He is so brave! I already miss Gracie and her Dr. Pepper!!!
You're the coolest mom ever. Ev.Er! He is a great kid, and this will be a great experience for him. I'm sure he plays tough guy, but he's a big softie at heart, just like his dad.
But you're seriously the coolest mom ever.
So, Troy is a bit jealous of Carter. I think Troy would go if they would let him.
You are sooo BRAVE!!
Do you wonder what new things he will learn...of the slightly scandelous nature. You'll have to ask him. LOL.
I'll bet he is having a blast. He will always be grateful to you for letting him have this experience.
