Barry!

Friday I got the opportunity to go back in time 25 years. I was about 10 and my parents had a yellow and white blazer with an 8 track player. We listened to Barry Manilow and sang along with all the songs. I didn't realize how many of those songs were permanently burned into my brain until I could sing along with all the songs and knew every word!

He was great! A little cheesy and awesome all at the same time. I especially liked when he played the piano and sang because he seemed much more comfortable. He was a little weird with his hands and hips. When he first came out, Heidi and I both went, "Wow! He is a little man". I bet he weighs 100 lbs soaking wet.

I am not sure but I think he has had a little surgery!!! Ha Ha. Maybe a LOT! It was so much that you could see the scaring along his jaw line. He also showed a clip of himself in 1975 and his nose was way different. It was funny. He may not look the same, but no matter how much surgery he has, he will always sound the same.

It made me miss my Mom, she would have loved it. Because He Writes the Songs that make the whole world sing, and Somewhere Down the Road our paths are gonna cross again. Oh Mandy, you came and you gave without takin'. He was awesome! Even if we were the youngest gals there.

Like the music but after looking at those outfits I will have to listen to it with my eyes closed.

Kade (my 6 year old) went with my in-laws to see Barry a few months ago. He is now a fan as well! It is hilarious, every time we see a taxi with a Barry sign he tells us all about the concert all over again!!!

Oh the memories Barry Manilow can invoke. Isn't it funny how music and smells bring memories flooding out of your mind like water.

Looks like a fun night.

I'm with Keli...Dorks! However, it is so fun to be dorks sometimes. Go back to when we went to Mama Mia. Singing and dancing and making fools of ourselves but it was so fun.
