8 Preists, No Utah

Do you know what it is like to have a household of 16 year old boys and 3 large pizzas? I do. It actually wasn't too bad. YM got cancelled last night after I had spent all Aaron's money at Costco for the combined activity he was in charge of. The boys called me and asked if they could hang out here instead and play xbox. Of course I had to tell them yes. I got pizza instead of cooking dinner. They were gentlemen, didn't stay too late and were very polite. You boys can come over anytime.

I was supposed to go to Utah for the open house of the Draper Temple, but the flu is keeping me home. Last Christmas I drove to Utah with 2 kids throwing up, and I am just not going to take that chance again. 2 of the 4 have had it, and the way it hits someone will get it tomorrow. So, dang. We will have to attempt the other temple this summer.

there is nothing worse than kids puking, unless it's puking in the car! So gross. I don't blame you for not going.

Our temple is closed indefinitely. Apparently it got hit with some major flooding during Christmas break, and now they've kept it closed until further notice. I guess that leave Nauvoo or Detroit. I wonder if they throw in a white bullet proof vest in Detroit?

Speaking of pizza and young men. The boys in our ward are going snowskiing this weekend and stopping off at the pizza place in St. George. That made me think of the time we ran into you there. Travis says it is a tradition for hte ym everytime they drive through Utah. I think it was your husband that got it started when we were Iron Mountain.

Bummer about the flu and you not being able to make the temple open house... Your right another in just a few months.

I totally understand about the priests. I get it with teachers. LOL. Teenage boys are almost as fun as teenage girls.

We missed you today. The temple was awesome, my kids loved it. We will definitely have to go see the Oquirrh temple this summer. Madison really wants Kinney to go with her. Eli went in the Celestial room and all he could say was "Wow!"

I'm confused...doesn't the open house run through March? We got tickets for March. Or, was this the only break you guys had. Or maybe you plan to have the flu through March. Wouldn't that suck? I'm sorry about the sick kids. It sure is going around. My kids go off track Wednesday so hopefully that will help keep the flu bugs away for a few weeks.
