We had such a great time in Seattle. I was not ready to come home. I don't know if it was that I knew exactly what I would find at home (disaster area), or if I just didn't want to leave my Mom and Sisters.

We did lots of fun stuff.
We did lots of fun stuff.
- Pike Place Market; more than once. The flowers were unbelievable and the fish market men really liked Meg. They threw a fish over her head and called her giggles. I brought home a salmon fillet and some smoked salmon, which is already almost gone.
- Pier 56 and 57. We spent a lot of time on these piers. Great food, and good shops.
- Seattle Aquarium. It was only $15 to get in, but would take you 3 days to see it all. We saw them feed the seals, dive in a big tank, we got to touch lots of tide pool creatures like starfish, sea cucumbers, anenemies and sea erchants. It was really cool.
- Harbor tour. We got a tour of Puget sound and we went through the locks up into Lake Washington and onto Lake Unoin. The locks were so cool. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it myself.
- Space Needle. We are very proud of Keli for making it to the top. It was a gorgeous view.
- Underground city. Did you know there is an old Seattle under the new one? There is, I saw it with my own eyes.
- Ate, and ate and ate and ate, and then we ate some more!!!! Isn't that the best part of vacations? We had some great seafood. My favorite meal was at the crab pot. We ordered crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams and sausage. They put an apron on you, and dump it all in the middle of the table. Free for all, no utensils except a mallet. It was yummy and fun to boot. We had amazing crepes with a gang of gothic teenagers. Mom was a little afraid, but the crepes were worth it. Cheesecake factory was a block from our Hotel, imagine that! We also ate at a couple of local places that were so good.
We did so much walking that we all slept so good. It was so much fun to just be together. I really miss spending time with my family. Gracie is growing so fast. I am really glad I got to take her so she could spend some time with the girls. It is pretty sad when the flight attendant has to offer you a tissue before the plane is ready to take off. Thanks girls for everything! Thanks Mom for a great time! I love you and miss you tons. Next year New York City?!!

Yea- I was hoping there would be a Seattle post today. How fun to be with your mom and sisters, that would be hard to come home! I'm glad you had such a good time. How did Gracie do on the plane? I HIGHLY recommend you take a trip to New York--you would LOVE it!!
It sounds like you had SO much fun! Isn't it so hard to leave your mom and sisters? I feel the same way every time and I wonder why we don't live closer. I love Seattle, especially Pikes Market. You gave me some good ideas when we drive up there next to visit. We have been planning on taking the girls soon. I want to find that underground city!
We went to Pikes Market also- I was so grossed out by the throwing of fish- what if it's guts or goo landed on me or something?! Darrell thought it was the greatest thing ever!
Isn't it awful to say goodbye?! That's the worst part of vacation, laundry and good byes!
Man, that was so much fun! My ankles are sore from walking, and my pants are too tight from eating, but I wouldn't take it back for anything! I miss Gracie already. She definitely wins as the best dressed baby. We had an hour delay on our flight back. Just sat on the plane and suffered. But we made it. Glad you made it too! Love ya!
New York City?? What is this, a PACE commercial?
We sure did have a great time. I miss you so much! It is so hard to tell you goodbye every time! Please come back soon, I miss you guys!
What a fun trip! We were just there this summer and it was awesome. I wish I would have known you were going. Pike's Market has this place called Moon Valley and they have these amazing lotion bars. I will have to send you one. While we were there, Aaron surprised me with a huge bundle of flowers, like the one in the pic you posted. Seattle is a really fun place. I didn't know about an underground city! Next time!
Jill - it sounds and looks like you guys had a great time. I'm going to have to remember this idea for a future 'girl weekend' of our own. The picture of the week with Gracie at the space needle is my favorite.
Ken and I went to Seattle on our honeymoon. Did you eat dinner at the top of the space needle. We did. You only do it for the experience. Eating while slowly turning around looking at the city. However, the portions are tiny. We stopped at McDonalds on the way home because we were both so hungry. I want to go on a trip. Cute pictures.
What a fun trip. MY family needs to start doing that.
I'm glad you guys had a great time! We will have to start your tradition also. Aren't you so glad for techology so that at least you can keep in contact easier.
