Recipe

I have been tagged by my friend Alissa to post 3 recipes. To avoid any backlash or bad luck I will give them to you. I can't believe I am going to share my secret corn chowder recipe, but I figure you all probably have it anyway.

Jill's Famous Corn Chowder (not the real name, but it sounds really good)

2 cups water
1/2 t Pepper
1 1/2 t Salt
Bring to a boil and add following:
1/4 Cup Chopped Onion
1/2 Cup Sliced Celery
1/2 Cup Sliced Carrots
2 Cups Cubed Potatoes
Simmer until soft
While vegetables simmer make the white sauce.
1/4 cup Butter or Margarine
1/4 cup Flour
1 can Evaporated Milk (pour into a 2 cup measuring cup and add water until it is 2 cups)
1 1/2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 can Cream Corn
Melt butter in sauce pan, add flour and whisk until a paste. Add milk slowly letting mixture thicken each time. When all milk is in and the mixture is thick, turn off heat and add cheese and stir until melted. Add this to the vegetables (don't drain them). When everything is mixed, add the can of cream corn. Enjoy!!!

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

1 1/2 cup Sugar
1 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
4 Sticks Margarine
4 eggs
2 t baking soda
2 t Vanilla
2 T Hot Water
3 2/3 Cups Flour
4 Cup Quick oats
Chocolate chips
Cream butter and sugars - add eggs, vanilla and hot water. Add dry ingredients. Bake at 375 for 10 min.

Brownies

2 sq margarine
2 Cups Sugar
3 heaping Tbsp Cocoa
4 Eggs
2 Tsp vanilla
2 Cups Flour

Cram butter and sugar, add beaten eggs, then cocoa and other ingredients. Bake at 350 for 30 min.

Now you all have the only 3 things I cook well.

What did Olivia do to be left out of the picture for so long? How come we have not heard any stories about Jim Bridger? He is a famous person, What about Jerry Potts?
