Today I am thankful for Cumorah Academy. I stressed a lot about sending Carter there. I felt guilty that he wasn't going to school with all of his friends. I also felt bad that he had to wear a belt everyday and tuck in his shirt. I also hate that he had twice the laundry because he changes the minuet he gets home and I have to wash two outfits a day for him. I also worried that it was too much money and we would regret the financial burden. I have talked to two friends this week that have boys Carter's age at Saville middle School. Both are struggling horribly. They struggle with getting them to do their homework, getting them to go to school, and their attitude at home stinks. I don't know if Carter would be struggling at Saville, but I am glad to report that he is such a good kid. I don't ever have to check up on his homework. If anything, I am the slacker. I just trust him that he will get it done and do it right. He told me this morning before he left that he was worried about his History grade. He was going to check with his teacher to see what he could do to get it up. I think it was a 90%. Dang him. 90%. He rocks. I am sure he would be fine whatever school he was in, but I don't have to wonder. He is a great kid and he knows how important school is. I am glad his Dad taught him that.

Carter is a great kid! We stress out so much as parents because we wonder if we're doing the right thing for our kids. I bet all that worrying seems worth it now because Carter is having a positive school experience--what a blessing! I stress out about sending Taylor to middle school and it's still 3 years away!! Maybe I should call Cumorah and put her on the waiting list now!
Good thing he's a good kid. He has a lot of people that would kick his butt if he wasn't!
And what's this posting once a week crap? Don't even tell me you have other things to do....
Isn't Cumorah great?! I so wish we could have brought the school here with us! I for sure would have done everything possible to send my girl's there for Jr. High- that's a rough age!
Yeah, what is up with the once a week post- I go 3 days with out posting and you're leaving notes about updating!
That must be nice to not have to stress about kids school, when there are so many other things going on in life. I hope my kids are do as well as Carter. I think they have too many Folsom genes in them though.
I am glad that you are loving Cumorah but Carter would have done well wherever he would have went, good kids like that don't come along all the time. I loved the videos. Aaron and Carter's faces were perfect for that. Gracie was cute too!
